From Amy Ho '07 Senior Class Vice President

Hi Ben Gibbard!

As a senior at Rosemead High school, I’ve been involved with ASB both my junior and senior years. Planning the prom was one of my tasks and I can feel for the juniors the cruel ambition to want to aim big and give nothing less than the best. Rosemead is not a city that provides much resource for events like this. Therefore, I can also understand how difficult it is to make all that they dreamed and envisioned possible. Many who have already experienced prom either say it is ‘extremely overrated’ or ‘the best time you’ll have’. Please consider our efforts, it is what this that will make prom ‘the best’ rather than an over-hyped, mediocre formal.
The junior class fundraises every single week and these fundraisers take up hours of their time. They’re only doing this to make it big, too see all that they imagine before their eyes and to make memories for all those who attend. However, everyone needs some help to make it to the top. All entertainers are able to relate. Ben Gibbard, please play at our prom! You should feel blessed that students prefer to hear “Such Great Heights” rather than anything that goes, “my lovely lady humps….”
